Class 10 Science question

GROUP 'A': PHYSICS
1.      (a)  Why value of ‘g’ is not same for different places of earth surface? Prove                   that Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation. A object of mass 50kg is                     placed on the distance of 6400km from the surface of earth find the weight          of object when it is placed on the 9900km from the earth surface.                                                                                                  (1+2+1.5=4)
      (b)  Write any three necessary conditions required for the sun to occur              nuclear fusion reaction "We might face energy crisis in near future"                Justify the statement.                                                  (1.5+2=3.5)
2.      (a)  Prove that the liquid pressure P=hdg. A deep sea diver can dive up to a depth of 250m. Calculate the pressure of water at this depth.(1.5+2=3.5)
      (b)  State Pascal's law. An iron ball sinks in the water but a ship made up of iron floats on water, why? What do you mean by Hydrometer?                                                                                                 (2+1+1=4)
3.      (a)  State principle of Calorimetry. When 50 gm of water at 70oc is mixed with 30 gram of water at 15oc then find the resultant temperature.                                                                                                               (1+2.5=4.5)
(b)  Differentiate between convex and concave lens. What is the power of lens, if its focal length is 40 cm? (2+1=3)
4.      (a)  What do you mean by electromagnet? A primary winding of a transformer is 1000 turns and it is connected with 6A, 220V. The output is 110V. Calculate the number of the turns in secondary coil and electrical energy consumed by primary coil 20 hours if rate is rs.5          (1+2.5=3.5)
(b)  What do you mean by electroplating? Write difference between step up and step down transformer. Which coil is used in filament lamp, why?                    (1+2+1=4)
